Our chief executive Jon Newey says “Our ‘Warm Hubs’ will provide a comfortable and heated space for people during the colder months. People are invited to use our Community Hub open spaces to sit, relax, work, chat and meet. They can grab a free hot drink, enjoy the heating, charge their phone and use the Wi-Fi. These will work alongside Worcester Community Trusts already existing services such as the community fridges at Tolly and Ronkswood, Breakfast Clubs, Coffee Mornings and ‘Snack and Chats’ across the city as well as our range of free youth and family activities and one-to-one advice services.
Plans are also underway to run a ‘How to Cook on a Budget’ course, and to offer one-to-one advice around budgeting and energy management in partnership with Cadent.
If any local people or organisations want to help support or partner up with us, contact us via enquiries@worcestercommunitytrust.org.uk with ‘Warm Hubs’ in the title and let us know your ideas or how you’d like to help.”
