WELLBEING SERVICES

We have a wide range of wellbeing and social groups available for everybody across Worcester, run by our incredible team of project workers and volunteers.

  • Community Connectors – providing group activities and support for people who may feel isolated or who have low-level stress and anxiety.
  • JOY – providing support to enable women to gain a variety of skills, enhance their confidence and empower them to make their own informed decisions.
  • Breakfast Clubs – a chance for the local community to socialise over a hot or cold breakfast.
  • Snack & Chat Lunch Clubs – companionship and activities around a healthy, home cooked two-course meal and a hot drink.
  • Move It or Lose It Classes for the Over 50s – a chair-based exercise class for the over 50’s to improve strength, balance and increase stamina.

We also run a variety of community events trips throughout the year, and our partners run a full timetable of activities such as dance groups, yoga and martial arts within our community centres. Visit our What’s On page for details.

You don’t have to be alone

Loneliness and social isolation can have a massive impact on health. It is said that it has the same effect on health as obesity, smoking 15 cigarettes a day, not exercising, or being an alcoholic. It can lead to depression and dementia.

Worcester Community Trust brings people together to build friendships and reduce loneliness. We know that having a reason to go out and taking part in positive activities keeps people happy and healthy. Making new friends with common interests will help you feel less isolated.
