CORE is a network for men and male identifying individuals, providing information, advice and guidance to enable connection with others, and engagement within the community. It provides information about support bases, wellbeing services, and opportunities to connect with other like minds, whilst allowing men to gain a variety of skills and enhance their wellbeing and confidence. The project was created following the ongoing success of the women’s Joy Project, and aims to deliver a similar service to men.

CORE is an inclusive service available for all men aged 18+ at any stage in their individual journey. Whilst partnering with organisations that already provide regular services and workshops, it also aims to create groups and workshops where there are gaps or demands in local communities.

CORE is open to support men across a broad spectrum, with wide ranging abilities, support needs, backgrounds and goals. It seeks to support men to assess their own current skills, build their confidence, raise their aspirations, and enable them to create plans for the future.

Through a mixture of group work and one to one sessions men will be supported to:

  • Develop friendships and a support network
  • Foster a sense of peer support and camaraderie
  • Learn new skills and knowledge
  • Access courses and training
  • Access advice and specialist services
  • Strengthen their self awareness and independence
  • Set and pursue personal goals, aspirations and dreams
  • Move towards overall wellbeing
  • Make informed decisions for the future

The CORE project is currently available for male and male identifying clients in Worcester, Malvern Hills, Wychavon, Wyre Forest Bromsgrove and Redditch.
