GET SUPPORT WITH THE COST OF LIVING

You do not need to deal with the increasing costs of living on your own. We are here to provide support, and to help ease the burden of whatever challenges you are facing.

From providing free support on ways to manage your bills and energy usage, to talking you through opportunities available to improving your wellbeing, our support workers are here.

Energy and welfare support

Our Community Energy and Welfare Support Workers can support you with managing your income and debt, council tax and housing benefits, pension credits, energy and utilities debt support, energy efficiency and home safety (Carbon Monoxide awareness) and more.

They can provide signposting to other services and make referrals to emergency food and fuel support.

Warm hubs – open spaces available for all

To save costs of heating and energy at home, you are invited to use our community hub open spaces to sit, relax, work, chat and meet. You are welcome to grab a free hot drink, enjoy the heating, charge your phone and use our Wi-Fi.

Community fridges and pantries

Our Ronkswood Hub and Tolly Hub are home to our Community Fridges and Pantries. These are stocked with food that would other wise go to waste from fruit and vegetables and bread, to non-perishable items such as pasta and tinned goods.

We encourage everybody to use the fridges and pantries, to save on food costs, whilst helping to reduce waste.

Simply visit our Ronkswood or Tolly Hub during opening hours, and take what you need.

Connect with your local community

Dealing with the current costs of living can be hard on your mental health. Connecting with our project workers and other members of the local community can help make a positive difference to your wellbeing.

Our Community Connectors team provide a range of social and wellbeing group activities, to support people who may be experiencing either social isolation or low-level stress and anxiety.

We help individuals raise their self-esteem and confidence by accessing a range of learning, social and volunteering opportunities.
