Worcester Community Trust is a charity managing 6 community centres in Worcester and running a range of community projects which are changing the lives of people every day.

Our Vision is – Releasing Communities’ Potential

Our History

Worcester Community Trust was set up in 2010 to join together 3 charities and take on the management of Community Centres owned by Worcester City Council and to take on youth and community work on behalf of the City Council and Worcestershire County Council.

We have a successful track record of delivering a wide range of services to people in the areas of greatest deprivation in Worcester including

  • Youth services
  • Domestic abuse support
  • Family support
  • Play
  • Lunch clubs and services for older people
  • Support for the socially isolated
  • Community work and events
  • Construction skills
How we are funded

Our work is funded through lettings income we can generate by letting out the community centres and from grants, charitable funds and contracts to deliver our services. We are concentrating on increasing our lettings revenue as our general grant fund income gets less. We are grateful for the support of all our funders. Our Board of Trustees

The Directors of the company are our Trustees, led by the Chairman, Richard Soper. All our Trustees are volunteers. The Trustees set the strategic direction for the organisation and day to day performance is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer, Ruth Heywood and the team.
