Our brand-new wellbeing job club and support service is now open in Worcester to support people who are looking to work towards gaining employment or training.

The service, managed and run by Worcester Community Trust, is offering free weekly wellbeing job clubs including activities such as walks and yoga, as well as workshops covering topics such as CV building, interview skills, steps to wellbeing, IT skills and gaining access to benefits.

There are also be one-to-one appointments available for anybody looking for additional support around employability, wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem. This includes helping people to manage any barriers to employment that they are facing such as financial or health related challenges.

The free to attend job clubs start on Monday 26 June and will be running every week at the following locations:

  • Mondays 11.30am – 1.00pm at Horizon Hub, Midland Road, WR5 1DS
  • Wednesdays 11.30 – 1.00pm at The Green Hub, Gresham Road, WR2 5QS
  • Fridays 10.00am – 11.30am at Warndon Hub, Shap Drive, WR4 9NX

The service is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and is due to run for at least the next four years. It is open to anybody aged 16+ whether they are currently in employment or not.

Lisa-Jane Wall, Welfare Project Manager at Worcester Community Trust commented:

“I am delighted to be launching our brand-new job clubs and support service at Worcester Community Trust. Having previously worked as a Job Coach for the Trust, I know how much value this service will bring to members of our local community.

“I am particularly excited about the wellbeing elements we are offering as part of the service, ensuring that we can give full, long-lasting support to people who are looking to make a change in their lives. As part of the Trust, we are also able to refer clients into our other projects such as The Building Block (our Construction and Skills Training Centre) and JOY (a service that re-empowers people who have been through a challenging time), which really makes it an incredible offering for people, whatever they are looking to achieve and whatever their situation.”
