The Community Connectors Projects provide social activities sessions to support the socially isolated and those with low level stress and anxiety. We aim to provide services to meet the needs of individuals and communities attending. These sessions are delivered in our hubs in Ronkswood, Dines Green, Warndon and Tolladine.

The aims of the groups are to:

  • Support healthy lifestyles
  • Tackle social isolation
  • Provide learning, training and access to employment opportunities
  • Providing support according to the individual’s needs
  • Make positive lifestyle changes via referrals to suitable agencies
  • Increase social networks within the community
  • Support low level mental health issues
  • Offer support in a non-judgemental manner
  • Provide a variety of activities and opportunities

    We achieve this by:

Offering one to one support face to face or by telephone

Offering various activities to reduce social isolation, increase social networks within the community and to re-build confidence and self-esteem

Signposting and refer individuals to the appropriate services

Working in partnership with other agencies and professionals to meet the community’s needs

Helping and supporting people to access benefits, debt and financial advice

Raising self-confidence and promoting positive health and well-being

We are now able to offer our Community Connectors groups and activities back in our centres and are delighted to be able to see people face to face again. Although we are not running our full programme at present we are running a number of groups at various centres throughout the week.  Please contact us for more information on what we currently have on offer and to find out about what we have in the pipeline.
