On Wednesday 24th October 2018 Worcester Community Trust, Fortis Living and Worcester City Council came together to run an Enterprise Event at The Warndon Community Hub aimed at people looking to set up or who have recently started their own Businesses.

The event provided a wealth of advice and information on starting up and running a business from Exhibitors including:

Worcestershire Business Central, Worcestershire County Council, Worcester City Council, Blue Orchid, Federation of Small Businesses, Impetus, Bradley Haynes Law and the Nat West Business Banking team.

There were also advice and opportunities in the construction sector and services available for local businesses from Fortis Property Care.

The Heart of Worcestershire College and Worcester Community Trust were also available to offer help and support on training and The Building Block (Worcester Community Trust’s Construction Centre was open providing an ideal opportunity to learn more about the facility and courses available.

The Fortis Living Debt Prevention Team and Worcester Citizen Advice Bureau were also on hand to provide advice on benefits, budgeting and other sources of help for residents thinking about going self employed.

There were also workshops throughout the event on Top Tips for starting your business; Legal aspects of running a business; Marketing your Business and Grants for your business.
