Residents from St Paul’s Hostel in Worcester made a visit to The Building Block on Thursday 22nd April to be given Health & Safety training for a project they are working on at the Hostel in Tallow Hill.
The project training is to build a kitchen garden to help residents deal with traumatic experiences from their childhood, so they will be levelling the ground, constructing raised beds, making a path and planting the land.
Ten Residents came along to the Building Skills Centre to receive their training, The group were also given instructions in the use of tools and machinery during the day. They will be joining us throughout the year to receive further training in Bricklaying and Woodwork as they continue their project & we were also able to supply them with boots, hi-viz vests, hard hats and goggles.
