Snack & Chat is a Project run by Worcester Community Trust with the specific goal of trying to reduce social isolation in older people across our City. The sessions run at four of our Community Hubs headed by Sharon Amos, who as the title suggests also cooks a healthy lunch whilst those attending can make new friends, meet old ones & just have a chat!

Whilst most of the sessions run on a similar theme for most weeks, with a meal, a game of bingo or a raffle from time to time special events are put on including day trips and tea parties.

During February, Tea Parties were held with entertainment provided by the wonderful singer John Richards who sang a medley of songs from Matt Munro, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra & Tom Jones. Our video below was filmed at The Green Hub in Dines Green.

As part of our service we are able to sign post members to various partners if they need additional support. Those attending come along for all sorts of reasons such as they live alone and may feel a bit lonely others just enjoy the food and the games we offer.

If you know of a lonely person in Worcester, you can find out more information at Snack & Chat
