Worcester Community Trust are proud to introduce its newly trained Mental Health First Aid team in support of Mental Health Awareness Week. We had a fantastic two days on the first WCT Mental Health First Aid course, aimed at recognising symptoms of mental ill health and being able to support those in crisis. With excellent discussion and a real passion shown for supporting each other, and others in our community, our MHFA team have built the confidence to assess, provide immediate comfort and support and signpost for appropriate professional support. A big thanks to the team who trained – also to their tutor Ceri who was highly commended for the course that was run.

Ceri said “I’m so proud of everyone who came and got involved, congratulations!”

“Ceri delivered a fantastic highly informative course that really helped understand my participants complex needs and how to support better.” Julia who took part in the training
