The Mayor of Worcester Jabba Riaz kindly invited Worcester Community Trust to hold a Christmas Lunch for older people at The Guildhall in Worcester. Eighty local people were invited to the Lunch, held on Monday 3rd December, which was prepared by Snack & Chat organiser Sharon Amos and held in the Assembly Room.

Those attending took part in a quiz before being served a two course lunch by WCT Staff members whilst being entertained with festive songs by local singer Debbie.

During the event the Mayor said, “I am delighted to host this event at the beautiful Guildhall in Worcester and to show all of the people attending what the building is all about. Thank you also to all of the people that serve this City by volunteering their time to help others. I would also like to thank Sharon for organising this wonderful event”.

A group from our Community Connectors Project also attended the Lunch, all of whom had a lovely time.

Worcester Community Trust hold weekly Snack & Chat lunches throughout the year for older people at four of our Community Centres in the City. For further information please visit: Snack & Chat
