The children of the Oasis Academy Happy Hearts Nursery at the Warndon Community Hub have been extremely busy recently helping to help bring beautiful butterflies into the World.

They started by collecting Caterpillars keeping them safe in their classroom whilst they developed. A Community Day was then organised by Nursery Manager Sharon Miles where the children were joined by their Parents, Carers, Grand Parents and friends to help weed, sweep up, plant and help maintain the area at the side of the Community Centre. It was a great opportunity for parents to do some gardening with their children as well as giving parents ideas as to how they can enhance their children’s learning at home.

The day was ended by the releasing of all but one of the Butterflies with the final one being released a day later!
