Anyone who lives in the Brickfields area of Worcester will know the name Furlong. The Family have been at the centre of the Community for over 60 years and involved in the King George V playing fields since it opened 1951. The Family ran the Post Office and shop for many years and have been instrumental in everything from Youth Clubs, Children’s Clubs, Sports, Fireworks and much more.
Friends, family, Councillors, children from Hollymount and the Mayor of Worcester joined together on Tuesday 25th September to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Biddy Furlong and to honour her lifetime contribution to the local Community. Watch our video below for the celebrations and messages from the local Community.
