In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing) at The Building Block
This regulated QCF qualification is for learners required to demonstrate their knowledge for the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment in the UK (Portable Appliance Testing PAT). It is based primarily on BS7671:2008 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and the NEW IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment 5th Edition.
The qualification provides under pinning knowledge to comply with current legislation and the new requirements laid out in this new code of practice.
The duration of the course is 3 days starting on Monday 28th June and running until Wednesday 30th June. It runs daily 9.00am – 4.00pm. The course is certified by LCL Awards and the cost is £390 per person.

There are no formal pre-requisites to this qualification, but it is recommended that candidates should have suitable knowledge of electrical theory and ideally be working within the electrical or a related industry.
Assessment through work performance activities and an e-assessment.
LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
The course is run in a small group of 6 per class to ensure social distancing can be maintained. Please note that you will need to bring your own face mask to the sessions but all other PPE necessary for the safe completion of tasks will be provided.

The cost for the In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment Course is £390 – to secure a place, a £100 deposit is required upon booking, which must be paid below.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the course commences (You will receive an invoice upon payment of deposit, which can be part paid up until the full balance is due).
