Girls from Dines Green Youth have recently been learning about the Suffragette movement as this year marked 100 years since some women won the right to vote.

The girls, with Youth worker Alice, have learnt from a variety of sources including visits from local Councillor Chris Cawthorne. They also talked more about political engagement, power to change things and why it’s important to have female representation.

The girls also joined Women from the Joy Project for one of their sessions to watch a film at the Warndon Hub about the Suffragette Movement.
