Tuesday 5th June saw the start of an exciting partnership between Community Connectors and the Old North Stables at Pitchcroft, Worcester, which is affiliated with Transition Worcester.

The group visited the large allotment site to volunteer their services in gardening. They helped to clear the space behind the greenhouses and during the day learned about herbs. One volunteer clipped the weeds around the raised beds and another mowed the site around the orchard area. Along the way they composting all the weeds.

Paula Morris, the Community Connectors Volunteer Coordinator said, “We want our volunteers to visit regularly to support the fruit and vegetable production, to improve our own wellbeing and, of course, to be able to take home some lovely fresh produce! Radishes today, yum yum!”
