It was a very magical month of Christmas at Worcester Community Trust.

The Festive Period got off to a wonderful start with the Ronkswood Christmas Fair. This was an incredible success attended by 100’s of people and all sorts of stalls & there wasn’t too much you couldn’t buy from Jam to Candles and Cakes to bespoke Christmas Plates!

Our parties started with our Snack & Chat Groups coming together for the final time of the year at Tolladine, Ronkswood, Horizon and The Green Hubs. Snack & Chat meet on a fortnightly basis throughout the year and are always well attended (new members are always welcome) & the Christmas Parties were no exception.

Sharon Amos and her volunteers along with Trust staff pulled out all the stops to provide a festive afternoon and a two course meal. Children in the Choirs from Gorse Hill Primary School & Perry Wood Primary School sang Christmas Carols at Tolladine and Ronkswood respectively.

It wasn’t just the senior members of our Community that had Christmas Parties. In the week leading up to the Christmas break, it was the turn of the children and our popular Kidzplay Christmas Parties….how busy they were….

The Twelve Stats of Kids Christmas: 350 Selection Boxes, 331 Children, 320 Doughnuts, 300 Mince Pies 129 Parents, 6 Play Rangers at 6 Parties in just 3 days, 2 Magical Magicians with 2 of Santa’s Elves, 1 DJ and finally a Santa sat in his Grotto.

All WCT staff helped out to make the Christmas Parties a special occasion but we couldn’t have made it as special as it was without… Miraculous Magic for entertaining us all…a massive thank you to ASDA, Fortis, Suzie from Tesco, Action for Children, Sue from Tolly Church.

Another special thank you to Bransfords and Municipal Charities for funding the KidzPlay this year.
