Recruiting and training community champions from hidden communities is the primary outcome, with the delivery of a series of training modules focusing on training community champions in understanding domestic abuse, risk assessment and safeguarding – as well as knowledge of local support services, and of other services focusing on mental health, confidence building and resilience. The roles are across the whole county, and ideally WCT intends to employ one worker for the North and one for the South however there could be an expectation of cross travel.
