CASUAL CONSTRUCTION TUTOR
Up to 5 hours per week
£9 per hour
About The Building Block
The Building Block is a purpose-built construction training facility located on Shap Drive in Warndon. The centre has been running since 2015 and since then has been delivering a range of both DIY and accredited training courses to the local community. The Building Block is an approved centre, delivering accredited electrical training under LCL Awards and accredited construction skills training under City and Guilds.
We are looking to recruit Casual Construction Tutors to work alongside our Construction Skills Manager helping to deliver non-accredited training within the construction industry. The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of evening training courses to adults in any of the following trades: plastering, plumbing, bricklaying, tiling, electrics or woodwork. Some experience of teaching is desirable; however, we would welcome applications from those who have the necessary trade specific skills and will provide training and mentoring for the right candidate.
- Qualified in one or more relevant trades
- Excellent communication skills and experience of working with adults from diverse backgrounds
- Must have a positive and professional attitude
