The Role

Worcester Community Trust is looking to appoint a Service Manger to lead on our Wellbeing Projects which aim to provide support services to socially isolated and vulnerable people in our communities.

This role will manage three main wellbeing services; the Community Connectors Project, the PLUS (People Like Us) Service and the Snack and Chat project.

These services provide both 1 to 1 and small group support and activities to reduce loneliness and isolation and improve feelings of wellbeing. We bring people together to create peer support networks and to connect people to mainstream professional services, supporting them to become volunteers and invest back into the local community.

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing multiple projects within health and wellbeing services with proven ability to deliver against a range of outcomes
  • Experience of managing contracts and SLA’s including performance, compliance, and quality
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple work streams and funder requirements
  • An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals affected by poor health, wellbeing, and loneliness

VACANCY for Job Coach

Salary – £25,230, up to 18-month contract (depending on start date)


Worcester Community Trust is a partner in an innovative Worcestershire consortium, Fusion. Fusion have been successful in securing funding from the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme across the County. The project is currently in its fourth year and is planned to run until September 2022.


To take forward our success we are seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic person to be a Building Better Opportunities Job Coach. You will work with Worcester Community Trust and the wider BBO team to provide employment support to participants.  The appointed person is required to work with people furthest from the labour market and support individuals through a tailored and creative action plan enabling people to reach their full potential.


The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own case load and recruit new participants to programme, have a positive attitude, and be an effective communicator with participants and external partners. The post holder will be required to hold, or be willing to work towards, an Information, Advice & Guidance qualification and understand the UK Welfare to Work Programme.


Dependent on the start date this will be a fixed term contract for an 18-month period. It will be funded by the European Social Fund and National Lottery Community Fund. This is a challenging post and will require you to be innovative. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides a high-quality service and that is committed to valuing and supporting the local community.


Due to the nature of this work, an enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for the successful applicant.


Essential criteria:

  • Educational level – NVQ 4/HNC in Information, Advice and Guidance, or willing to work towards
  • Experience of working with diverse participants to deliver employment services
  • Experience of keeping records for contract administration purposes
