COMMUNITY CONNECTORS VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR
Worcester Community Trust was awarded a grant from the Lottery’s Community Fund Reaching Communities programme to tackle social isolation, low self-esteem and confidence and low level mental health by bringing people together to create support networks and connect people to each other and mainstream services. This project is called ‘Community Connectors’ and is now embarking on its second year – it is an exciting time to join the team as Volunteer Co-ordinator.
We offer a number of informal drop in sessions and work with a wide range of partners to wrap support around these sessions. We reach out to the most socially isolated people and encourage them to join the groups.
Worcester Community Trust is a charity delivering community and youth services throughout Worcester City from its six community hubs.
We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Volunteer Co-ordinator to support the Community Connectors project in its second year. This is a fixed term post to November 2020.
26 hours per week
£19,017 (£13,363 pro rata)
Job purpose – To work within the Community Connectors project to support the outcomes of the project.
Essential criteria –
- At least 2 years’ experience of working in community projects
- Experience in managing volunteers and community volunteer projects
- Experience of report writing, performance monitoring, providing and recording information
